Pictures are worth 1000 words and I love taking pictures so word count wise my pictures deserve their own category :)
School has come to end.
We are done with school here till the middle of march and I'm still in utter shock that it's over. Time is flying after then an air plane. Here is just a collection of pictures I took while in Dunas.
Dancing at a Funeral
So had been practicing a Bolivian folklore dance with my aunt for weeks, honestly not really knowing what it was for. Well, after learning the dance, getting the outfits, and actually starting to dance for people I realized we were dancing for a funeral. I found that out when it was my turn to walk up to the casket and cross myself and I didn't know how to do that. Talk about embarrassing. I did get some cool pics from it though. My mama took the pictures while I was dancing. Thank you mama!
Definitpely not Walmart
So I didn't know how to spell definentally and still don't so I called my mom in the United States and asked her and this is what I heard over the phone. Enjoy my pictures of the Mercantile.
Churches only found in Dreams
My mama is determined to show me every church in Arequipa and by golly that's fine with me. The churches here are beautiful and each one has something the others don't.
Peruvian Food es Muy Rico!
The food in Peru is sooo good! I'm completely in love with it! I need to take more pictures of the fruits that I'm eating and Inca cola needs to be represented as well because you cant be in Peru and not like Inca cola.
Sharing the Love in Lima
I was only in Lima for a week and a half but that was enough time to fall in love with a wonderful family and begin to understand what I signed up for when I became an exchange student. I love the people in Lima and hope that I can return to them when I go back.
Family Vacation to Hunting Island
Hunting Island's wilderness was used to film the Vietnam scenes in Forest Gump. Our family traveled there to explore, implore, and adore. We camped by the beach, ate Georgia peaches, battled mosquitoes, swam in the ocean, and admired the different wildlife.
Graduation Party!
A celebration. A party for people that have helped me through this. And myself of course. I like parties:)
Graduation Ceremony for the Early Grad
Graduation came so fast. It seamed just like yesterday I decided to graduate early. It hasn't been easy. I didn't get to graduate with my class and a lot of my classes I took I was the only one that wasn't a senior. But I did it. I walked across the stage and left the hardships behind me. Now their is only the future.
Ode to May
As May was here and gone I can't help but share some of the pretty pictures that may inspires! I hope June will be half as exciting.
2015 Spring Break
For our 2015 Spring Brake my family and our trusty pop-up camper journeyed down to southern Indiana. We camped at Cliffy Falls camp ground, viewed the Lanier mansion, explored a cave, visited the Kentucky horse park (my favorite part!), and hiked till big strong daddy had to carry us back. We also had an encounter with a raccoon... lets just say superunderpants saved us with his trusted flashlight and leave it at that.
Muddy March in Indiana
Sunday afternoon with my muddy horses. Yes, Romeo was pretending to be an escape artist and was prancing around outside of the fence. He conceded and came to me when I put his lunch on the inside of the fence, just incase you were wondering. March may be known for the mud but it's fun if you embrace it!
Winter family Pictures
Family decided to get winter photos. Snoopy of course had to be in the family portrait since he is a part of the family. The photo where I am hugging Paul, who is laughing in his creepy way, occurred because someone, *cough PAUL, pushed me down the slippery, snowy hill. I hold no grudges. Well, not this time.
