Yes ladies and gentlemen I have been so busy I have completely forgotten about my blog. Personally I think that’s a good thing. A lot better then doing nothing and missing home. So what have I been doing you may ask. And I may be obliged to tell you. Maybe. Ugh! This is horrible writing. Can you tell my English is going?
At the beginning of November I worked with Starkly Hearing Foundation as a translator. Starkey is this supper awesome business that makes hearing aids but has a side mission that gives hearing aids to the hearing impaired all over the world. It was an incredible experience for me. We helped people of all ages regain hearing for the first time in years or hear for the first time ever. Seeing people and being so needed was such a cool experience for me and made me hopeful that I 'm not learning Spanish for nothing. I'm still playing Volleyball and surprisingly I'm getting better. I didn’t think it was possible but I might be able to actually play without hurting someone at the end of the year. Honestly I'm proud of how far I've come from not wanting to play in the first place but that in and of itself is a life lesson. You never know what you can do until you try. And practice. For days on end when your physically exhausted but still try your hardest to make your Mama happy. But life isn't suppose to be easy. So you put on your knee pads and sirves al pelota one more time.
Then we have graduated from colegio and Christmas is rolling around the corner faster then a snow storm but that should be another blog entirely. So I'll get to finishing my first trip and really do something with my life besides eat, sleep and party.
